Owners in Texas?

I am wondering how many of you are in Texas? I am about to purchase an 
83 and am interested. I have a few questions that I hope you can 
answer.
1) What size generator to add and what is the quietest one?
2) Aftermarket dash air? Which one and the cost of such?
3) Where to get an awning that isnt too expensive?
4) Is it ok if the rear wheels have the newer axle ( 6 lug) and the 
front wheels are 5 lug? Will I eventually have to replace the front 
too?
5) Has anyone ever painted the dark paneling? I dislike it and would 
like to change that. Also, what paint to use to cover old water stains 
on the headliner or roof?

That would be it for now!  I will be traveling through AZ, NM and Co 
this spring/summer so any tips on mapping out a travel plan would be 
helpful. Would like to boondock as much as possible.
