Subject: 1991 Toyota Odyssey RV Motorhome V6 Automatic

1991 Toyota Odyssey 21 1/2 feet

V6, Automatic with 106K miles

Runs and drives perfectly, please see below for mechanical
information!

Sleeps 4-6 depending on size, has a huge rear dinette with a huge
rear picture window. Extremely roomy floor plan, I have never seen
one that feels larger inside.

Has a brand new water heater (over $500 in 2005).

Brand new tires (1500 miles approx., over $500 in 2005) from Les
Schwab with their good warranty.

Four burner stove with oven.

Large three way fridge - gas, 12V, or 110V.

Nice inverter/charging system.

No generator, but has the space for one.

Nice interior, looks very modern (see photos). Nice cloth front
seats. Nice cloth front door panels. Nice dining area ? very huge
floor plan, the largest floor plan I have seen on any Toyota RV and
I looked for two years before I bought this one. Very nice above cab
bed.

Dining area converts into a huge (King size or larger?) bed.
Has an extra table with no legs or hardware in the closet.

Nice microwave.

Two sided sink with sprayer nozzle!

Bathroom with separate shower, not a sit, shower and shave on the
toilet model.

Has the good rear axle (this new they are always supposed to) with
adjustable air bags for a smoother ride.

Nice large awning in decent condition (one tiny, 2"+-, tear on
corner, please see photo.)

Mechanically runs and drives great, however I took it to the Toyota
dealer to see if they could diagnose the check engine light and they
told me that the previous owner had it in right before I purchased
it and they told her that it needed a valve job because of a leaking
#6 exhaust valve resulting in low compression in that one cylinder.
I have the paperwork from the Toyota dealer showing this diagnosis
and estimate. She DID NOT tell me this and told me that it was in
perfect mechanical condition with zero problems whatsoever. The
dealer wants $2500 to do this job and a reputable local mechanic has
given me a bid of $1600 which would include the valve job, water
pump, timing belt, spark plugs, oil and filter, and coolant change.

I do not want to spend any more money on this motorhome. I am
looking for an older 22RE with manual transmission so I can work on
it myself.

One exterior wall has a very slight curve in it - please see the
pictures that look straight on down the passenger side. It is barely
noticeable when trying to see it.

Over all in nice condition. I am the third owner.

No evidence of major leaks. During heavy rain had minor leaking
around roof vent in dining area, I resealed and appears to have
fixed it. Still occasionally in very heavy rain has a drip or two
in the bathroom vent which I HAVE NOT tried to fix yet, this vent
has a vent guard on the roof which I think if removed and the screw
holes resealed would completely stop this. I've only seen a few
drips here in very heavy rain. It was raining this morning and I
could find zero leaks anywhere. Under rear side windows has two very
small (8"+-) sections where the wall paper is a little crinkled and
it feels a little soft, these are the only areas I have seen in the
whole coach that look remotely water stained/damaged.

Motorhome spent some of its life in the desert and the fiberglass is
slightly faded. I had an auto detailing shop remove the old decals
and they used an eraser wheel which left barely noticable brown
marks around the fiberglass, please see the picture which shows
where the old Odyssey decal was, the drips are just from the rain on
dirt.

I have left absolutely nothing out of my description. People that do
not disclose everything about their vehicles are criminals and it is
wrong to treat people that way!
