It may mean that the voltage on your battery has
dropped and the "sentinal" is warning you to stop
using the inverter till you recharge the battery.
Further drains on the battery could damage it and if
the inverter is not able to put out a full 110VAC
whatever you are using it for could be damaged.

Our small inverter just shuts down when it senses low
voltage.
