Inverter and Converter: msg#00872recreation.cars.toyota.campers
Hi all, Doug here in No. Va. Hope this might help in the inverter/converter area. My Gulfstream Toy has a Magnetek power converter model 6345- series 6300A , It has five 110 volt breakers (house type) One of the breakers turns the charger off, So I mounted a 700 watt inverter under the couch beside the converter in order to run the fridge on elect. while driving and close off the propane tank. (personally I would not drive with the propane valve open for any reason) so when I am on the move I plug the shore power cord into the inverter then turn off the 110 volt breaker to the converter (you can hear the relay drop out) the inverter powers up all the 110 volt recepticals (with 110 volts ac) and the fridge continues to operate with power supplied by the toy engine. (alternator) Any questions email me your phone no. and I'll call you. Doug......... Yahoo!
