nan, inf?

Following the document in ieeespacial.py,
I tried:

>>> from numarray import *
>>> nan
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "<stdin>", line 1, in ?
NameError: name 'nan' is not defined
>>> inf
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "<stdin>", line 1, in ?
NameError: name 'inf' is not defined

What did I miss? Thanks.
