XMLRPC Server and DateTime problems: msg#00014

Subject: XMLRPC Server and DateTime problems 
Hello all,
I have a bit of code that uses psycopg to interface with postgres. The code works fine until I make it available via a mod_python XMLRPC server based on SimpleXMLRPCServer. When I pass records across XMLRPC I get the following errors: 

<Fault 1: "exceptions.TypeError:cannot marshal <type 'DateTime'> objects">
I understand what the problem is here, but not the best way to correct it. Anyone have any suggestions?
I apologize if this has been covered before, as it seems like it must have been, but I have been unable to find any answers for this.
