SVN Commit: OMake Build System [0.9.8.x] (Rev. 11976)

Gobble whitespace eagerly at <eol>, so, for example, trailing comments
work as expected.

   X = abc   # 123
   equal($X, abc)  # this is now true

Note, eol whitespace is still significant within strings.
