Absolutely. Each learns their own way -- the trick is finding out what
that is, and supporting it without getting in the way. My mother battled
this with my youngest brother, who didn't read until age 10, and not
much at all until 14. (And now, reads as well as anyone -- when the time
is right, kids learn.)

His path has been different -- he is now studying ballet at an
intensive, and his interest with computers is purely as a teenage user
