Greg:

I think it depends on the child. Zachary, our oldest, getting little of
educational value out of computers. Henry, the 5 year old, sucks up
knowledge like a sponge, both from the explicitly educational stuff
(some of which is pretty good) and from other, surprising games. One of
his big favorites at the moment is the Tycoon series of games, and he's
learning a whole lot of math and logic from hem.]
