That's how I learned letters, and shapes and things like that. Our old
TI99-4A computer had these simple games. I was 18 months old at the
time.

I knew my alphabet before I was three. I was reading at four, and bored
because of it for five years at school. My parents offered to let me not
go after fourth grade. I haven't looked back.

Has a lack of diploma and even college education hurt me? Not at all.
Owner of an ISP at twenty-two, I think I'm doing okay. What about
college? Friends of mine from the unschooling community are attending
Reed, and one is on scholarship to New College in Sarasota.

And what about socialization? The world is my culture and my town is my
community -- not just a handful of kids my age, and not just "teen" as
my culture coming of age. I feel wonderful with where I am.
