No, but thanks. The article I'm looking for is more about programmers 
in the workplace.

Paul Graham's article makes "nerds" a special case, but school is 
actually not a healthy or productive environment for most kids. John 
Holt gets a lot deeper into this in "How Children Fail" and "How 
Children Learn," and John Taylor Gatto has written a couple of books 
and several excellent articles -- most notably "The Six Lesson 
Schoolteacher" -- on the subject of dysfunciton in schools.
