Looking for article on programmer culture: msg#00071programming.language-of-the-year
Sometime in the past year I read an article online that described the dysfunctional culture that many programmers work in. The gist of the article is that programmers are loathe to impose hierarchies or to criticize each other, preferring more passive-agressive techniques and competition that at least appears good-natured. I may not be describing the article very well but I remember thinking it was very right on some points when I read it. If anyone recognizes the article I'm trying to find and knows where I can find it, please post or send an email. Thanks!
