I don't really like dual keyboard because it seems to lose something of the feel of "here, you drive" when you physically pass the keyboard to your partner. On the other hand, I did have a chance to try pairing in a slightly different setting some years ago. I had large office with a desk that had a peninsula extension. I found that I could invite co-workers to pair with me, sitting on the *opposite* side of the peninsula, with the monitor placed at the end. That way, the keyboard and mouse could easily be move to a comfortable position for either of us. It was also the only time that I have pair-programmed with a woman. It may be that having the peninsula between us avoided the kind of situation that Kent is describing. ------------------------ Yahoo!
