Often I wake up at some odd time with an idea. I get up, full of energy,
and work on it. I do some of my best work those times.

I do find that it is hard to sync up with my colleagues the next time I see
them, because they've not been there for the action, and that I'm a little
less responsive to their feedback, because I'm a little more committed to
my ideas than if they weren't so finished.

But I find it a productive way to work, sometimes, so I do it and try to
use good judgment when I do. I'm sure you will do the same.
