trouble while trying page-accounting: msg#00377printing.cups.general
Dear all, I tried to use Pykota for pageaccounting but somehow ran into trouble. Having successfully installed pykota i realized that is doesn't count any page printed. Maybe it's a problem with the Postgresql-storage. Even after printing some pages repykota claims i hadn't printed any page. (any ideas? Help is warmly wellcome) So i thought about writing a simple and mybe quite unreliable filter myself. This filter should look up the number of pages the user has allready printed from the page_log file then take the number of pages to print via grep -c showpages and compare them with a quota stored in some (ascii?) file. So far for the idea. But sadly enough I don't know how to do it. by now i only managed go aquire the number of pages a user has printed from the page_log. How can i find out which user has sent which job and the name of this job? sorry for asking these stupid questions, but i would be nice if anyone could help me. best regards, Marco Schuele |
