99% of our printing is plain old text reports: msg#00370printing.cups.general
We have begun to convert our Unix systems to Linux and CUPS. The problem is 99% of our printing is plain old text reports. Everything is getting converted up to postscript then back down and what we are seeing is, a lot of wasted cpu cycles and the number of bytes we are sending per print job has gone up 10 fold. This has to be a common problem. Does anyone know where someone documented how to get around this? Thank you Fred MacDowell Atlanta, GA |
