Subject: RE: Does cups support spaces in group names?

Thanks for the reply... there does not appear to be any problem in samba
with spaces in quote-delimited user/group names. For example, a write
list = @"Domain Users" gives everyone in the Domain Users group write
access. The problem lies within cups parsing the cupsd.conf file.

You got my hopes up a little... but after trying a SystemGroup Domain\
Users I get in cupsd.conf I get:

W [30/Sep/2003:15:36:16 -0400] IsAuthorized: group name "Domain\" does
not exist!

It looks like CUPS's parser is searching for a whitespace/commas
delimiter and doesn't do escaping :(. Don't let the Domain Users group
through you off, I'm just using that for now because it's a group that
I'm in that is convenient to test with for now.

It'd be nice to be wrong on this,
~ Daniel
