I remember to have had success with *printernames* containing spaces, by
escaping the blank with a backslash:

printer\ name\ with\ spaces

This even worked with Samba and Windows clients.

However, I believe this will not work with *usernames*. Just try it
in smb.conf (also try 'user name, "user name" and user%20name...)

Then run "testparm" and see how Samba interprets the name. I remember to
have experimented with this also some time ago, but didn't follow it through.
At the time it was Samba-3.0alpha24. I don't know about the current version
(3.0 released, yayyy!), and I have no Samba box at hand.

Chances are that testparm (and therefor Samba) will list your different names
with comma-separated and not blank-separated....
