It was easy to modify ps2pdf to act as an interface to my legacy LPD application. What's more, the backend runs as root which simplifies a lot of things, but makes me wonder if that's recommended (my CUPS installation came courtesy of a dependency when installing the Samba package). The URI feature CUPS device specifications is nice. This allows me to extend my application far more easily than doing it the old "lpd filter" way. Thank you! --Morgan |
