Thanks Michael for the reply.

You have mentioned that "you can probably do something from the application
side", what do you mean by application here ? Is it the Job Monitoring
application you are referring to ? or the Application from which I am trying to
print ?

How can I launch my application, whenever a Job is fired using my
printer/queue, I thought CUPS is the only way, is there any other place like
the Printer Module where I can do this ?, I am using MAC OS X.

Actually my Job monitoring application does more than Job monitoring, it will
look for errors in the Private SNMP MIB and pop-up appropriate help message to
the user, hence I will definitely need the Printer IP address and the Job ID
before I can start the Job/error monitoring application.

Thanks & Regards,
Sriram
