device ID string.: msg#00025printing.cups.devel
Hi everyone, I get the device ID string from the HP Inkjet printer through my C program and it works fine. However, if the printer is in use, the C program fails to open the device ie /dev/usb/lp[value] since it is already opened by the application using the printer. I was wondering if the CUPS code could be modified somehow to report device ID string continuously from the point when a job is sent out for printing to when the job is complete. Please let me know if there is a way this can be done. Thanks, Shreyas PS: Please cc your reply to skejariwal-eMvYNY28iGNBDgjK7y7TUQ@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx |
