This version is obsolete and has several known security issues in
it along with problems in the GNU Ghostscript 5.50-based PS RIP.

I would recommend upgrading to CUPS 1.1.18 or 1.1.19rc5 (coming
out today) and ESP Ghostscript 7.05.6; I believe that both 1.1.18
and 7.05.6 are also available via aptget...
