RE: Trouble running linux from LAB on 2210.: msg#00145

Subject: RE: Trouble running linux from LAB on 2210.
Hi,

Yesterday, I tried GPE and it is working from LAB. You can get it at http://handhelds.org/~mreimer/gpe-image-v0.8.3-h2200.rootfs-CF.tar.bz2

BUT SOUND DOESN'T WORK! I hope somebody will respond to me to tell us what is the status. I wonder because on the main H2200 WIKI port it is statetd that sound does work!

Note I tried other offical OPIE and GPE versions at
http://familiar.handhelds.org/snapshots/v0.8.3/RC2/unsorted/

they don't work.

I think we need to recheck the validity of the information on the whole h2200 WIKI portal. Although archive outdated things in folders.

Good luck!

Mohammed

Hi everyone!

I`m trying to install familiar onto my ipaq 2210.

So, i`ve set up LAB, using this manual (http://handhelds.org/moin/moin.cgi/HpIpaqH2200LAB), then downloaded this (http://familiar.handhelds.org/snapshots/v0.8.3/RC2/unsorted/opie-image-v0.8.3-h2200.rootfs.tar.bz2)

image and untarred it to a CF card, formatted in ext2.
then i created /boot/labrun on my CF card, with the the lines from the manual
(copy fs:/mnt/boot/zImage fs:/zImage
umount /mnt
armboot fs:/zImage "root=/dev/hda1 rootdelay=5")
then i created a symlink in /boot/ to point zImage-2.6.13-something to zImage

i`m inserting CF card into IPAQ, pressed the reset button and all i can see is LAB. invent freely.
What should i do? O_o
