Hi Sebastien,

all what you need, I've described here:
http://www.handhelds.org/hypermail/h2200-port/current/3707.html

This solution works well.

Hello,

I'm looking to this list for a long time.
I will have some spare time to install Linux on my iPaq 2210.
I own a 256MB CF card.
I would like to know how to easily install Linux on my iPaq

I see this
http://www.handhelds.org/moin/moin.cgi/HpIpaqH2200

Should I use CF Boot ?
Files at http://www.handhelds.org/moin/moin.cgi/HpIpaqH2200CFBoot seem
quite old !

I also see
http://familiar.handhelds.org/snapshots/

What should I download ?
Latest is 0.8.3 RC 2

http://familiar.handhelds.org/snapshots/v0.8.3/RC2/unsorted/

What is bootstrap ?

I see gpe-image and opie-image so there is no way to have both opie
and gpe ?

What is the difference between

.rootfs.ext2.bz2
<http://familiar.handhelds.org/snapshots/v0.8.3/RC2/unsorted/opie-image-v0.8.3-h2200.rootfs.ext2.bz2>

.rootfs.jffs2
<http://familiar.handhelds.org/snapshots/v0.8.3/RC2/unsorted/opie-image-v0.8.3-h2200.rootfs.jffs2>
.rootfs.tar.bz2
<http://familiar.handhelds.org/snapshots/v0.8.3/RC2/unsorted/opie-image-v0.8.3-h2200.rootfs.tar.bz2>

Does my CF card need to be formated as ext3 or fat ?

What should I do with zImage ?

Sorry for my beginner's questions but I don't see something very
usefull for me on the wiki to understand how to install Familiar...

Maybe I should wait a little bit in order to have Familiar 0.8.3
released (and some help file written)

Regards
