Hi All,
I am running open source embedded linux on a IXP425 reference board.
After adding a couple of new modules the ramdisk image size has exceeed
8192 bytes.
I am trying to use cramfs file systems instead ext2, and using the mkcramfs
utility to create the cramfs file system image. But i couldnt find any option
equivalent to the genext2fs -f dev.txt in mkcramfs utility. Hence when i run,
i am getting the error "Unable to open an initial console"..since the devices
are not created.
When i searched the web, i saw some patches for -m metafile option in
mkcramfs, but i am getting the error "malformed patch " while applying
that patch.
Is there any other way other than using ramdisk. ? I am not clear with the
procedure of doing it from flash..
Have any loaded large images to the IXP425 ADI reference board?
Thanks,
Vanitha
