On x86 machines the stick gets supprt via SCSI emulation. I try to add SCSI support to the ARM kernel with make xconfig.

With arm linux too.

Kicking "make dep clean zImage"
complains about not having ide.h.

You don't need ide.h for scsi.

Did someone manage to attach such device to a ARM machine and even mount it??

Yes, I've mounted this device and worked with it.

Here is my current running kernel:

[root@AT91RM9200DK /root]$cat /proc/version
Linux version 2.4.19-rmk6 (arm9@tic) \
(gcc version 2.95.3 20010315 (release)) #3 \

I've more recent CD (september 2003) with kernel 2.4.19-rmk7 already
patched. However I think that official 2.4.29-rmk7 should be fine too.

Bye,
Stefano.
