RE: Another successful war ?: msg#00059politics.socialism.wsm.general
Wherever the USA government parked their destroyers, tanks, and warplanes, the drug traffic always increase. The war against the drug traffic, is the war toward the increasing of drug trafficking, it is the same case of Colombia, where billions of dollars have been invested against the traffic of cocaine, but the flow of drugs continue toward the USA and many others countries, Some religious leaders and USA officials are complaining about the planting of the Coca leaves in Bolivia, proclaiming morals excuses, but that country has always being one of the biggest supplier of cocaine inside the US market, and the natives from Bolivia have always planted the coca leaves for medical purposes for hundred of years, and even more, it was used while they were doing the mining work in order to afford the pain produced for long hours of forced labors Ronald Reagan was importing drugs from Colombia thru the CIA, which makes him a drug dealer, and it was being sold in the poor neighborhood of the blacks and the Latino population in order to buy weapons for the Nicaragua contras, and he was re-elected and he died with presidential honors In Costa Rica, there is an arrest warrant against Oliver North and Collin Powell and most of the USA citizens do not know that, and Powell was nominated to a public post. Due to the damage created in Nicaragua, the International court gave an order to the government of that country to force the USA to pay billions of dollars for compensations, and the money has not been paid yet., on the contrary, Nicaragua is one of the biggest debtor of the IMF There are so many things that takes place in others countries that the USA citizen are not aware of, even the USA government and the CIA were forming Communist Parties in Latin America in order to penetrate the leftist movement during the cold war, in order to kill the leaders of others groups, and the members of the central committee, and one of the biggest collaborator was Negroponte, and now he is part of the diplomatic personnel of the US embassy in Bagdad. Any small newspaper in Latin America will print more accurate news than the New York times and the Washington post, despite their claim of freedom of speech and all that bourgeoisie garbage, the director of a small newspaper in Uruguay was instructed by the USA government not to print an article where he described George Bush similar to Adolf Hitler, and he refused to do that, and that news have never being printed in any of the commercial newspaper in the USA From: WSM_Forum@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:WSM_Forum@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of alan johnstoneo Sent: Wednesday, August 16, 2006 12:54 PM To: WSM_Forum@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [WSM_Forum] Another successful war ? Or another fine mess you got us into ? KABUL, Afghanistan - Opium cultivation in Afghanistan has hit record levels - up by more than 40 percent from 2005 - despite hundreds of millions in counternarcotics money, Western officials told The Associated Press. A Western anti-narcotics official in Kabul said about 370,650 acres of opium poppy was cultivated this season - up from 257,000 acres in 2005 - citing their preliminary crop projections. The previous record was 323,700 acres in 2004, according to the U.N. Office on Drugs and Crime. "It is a significant increase from last year ... unfortunately, it is a record year," said a senior U.S. government official based in Kabul... ...The U.N. reported last year that Afghanistan produced an estimated 4,500 tons of opium - enough to make 450 tons of heroin - nearly 90 percent of world supply. The U.N. Office on Drugs and Crime estimate that opium accounted for 52 percent of Afghanistan's gross domestic product in 2005. "Now what they have is a narco-economy. If they do not get corruption sorted they can slip into being a narco-state," the U.S. official warned. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060816/ap_on_re_as/afghan_opium_boom_3 alan johnstone edinburgh br [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |
