According to Undersecretary of State John Bolton, "[T]he United States strongly believes that Iran has a clandestine program to produce nuclear weapons and has been warning publicly about Tehran's weapons ambitions for over a decade." Now, having nuke ambitions is one thing. Having the "fissile" material ? plutonium-239 or uranium-235 ? needed to produce nukes is quite another.

Okay, one more time.

There were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

Iraq WAS in compliance with UN Resolutions.

Iraq was NOT a threat to the United States.

Iraq had nothing to do with 9-11.

Iraq was not supporting Al Qaeda.

Iraq did not gas the Kurds, Iran did.

Saddam is in jail.

The Iraqi people do not want Americans occupying their country.

The US has already lost this war politically, in the eyes of the world. There is nothing they can do which will be seen as vindicating the presence of the US in Iraq.

Major US Defeat In Fallujah Claimed

A massive US ground offensive on Fallujah yesterday has ended in humiliating defeat for the Americans. While dust storms disabled US airpower, matters were further complicated when Allawi troops fled the battleground after 15 minutes of fighting and Mujahideen launched devastating attacks under the cover of poor visibility.
Yeah, I noticed that ABCNNBCBS doesn't seem to want to talk much about Fallujah (or Mosul) today.

President Bush had a whimsical, fanciful, magical notion -- hold a two-day White House conference on the economy in which nobody said a negative word.
Read this carefully. The White House holds a conference on the economy, but the only people allowed to attend are budding "yes men" on internships, standing around and nodding at each other saying, "Oh yes, it was just a small iceberg that grazed the bow, and we can all go back and sleep in our warm cabins."

The Halabja atrocity remains murky. The CIA's former Iraq desk chief claims Kurds who died at Halabja were killed by cyanide gas, not nerve gas, as is generally believed. At the time, Iraq and Iran were locked in the ferocious last battles of their eight-year war. Halabja was caught between the two armies that were exchanging salvos of regular and chemical munitions. Only Iran had cyanide gas. If the CIA official is correct, the Kurds were accidentally killed by Iran, not Iraq.

Hatfill should subpoena the reporters from the Hartford Courant and have them testify in open court about the real suspect, caught entering the storage area where the Anthrax used in the letters was kept, without authorization, and after being fired over a racially motivated attack on an Egyptian co-worker, but strangely never investigated by the FBI.
