Islamist Theology of Plunder
  -Short History-

There is a difference between religions. They are not all the same. 
Believing in something seems almost genetic because practically everyone 
in human history has invented a god myth. Religions appeal to some of our 
more basic instincts. They give us reason to live or a reason to die. 
Islam never promised peace like Christianity did. It promised plunder and 
spoils (booty) in this world and heaven (and 72 virgins) in the next.

Christianity told us that it is good to be poor and the poor are better
than the rich -- so obviously the world would be a place where disparity
would be the norm and salvation will come to those who accept the faith.

Judaism was more practical and there has always been a recognition that
life sucks. It is not exactly funny, but Jews somehow find the strength to
laugh at themselves and conditions of life. Humor may be their salvation?

Islam, which means "submission to the will of God" demands absolute 
obedience. Those who do not submit are subject to extreme punishment and 
death or dhimmitude, a form of oppression and underclass existence. (Islam 
is from aslama, "he submits" and salama, "he was safe.") Islam is 
spreading over the planet and subjecting everyone in it's wake to the 
preached word of Allah and Muslims are not subject to man's law; Muslims 
only temporarily obey man's laws - as part of the jihad. An agreements 
with infidels is a truce to be broken, never indelible and always subject 
to being abrogated and disobeyed.

Like other religions the so-called truth of those religions were not
written until long after their prophets were dead. What
is known is what biographers wrote a century or more after the prophets
died. The story of Jesus is full of contradictions and wasn't
chronicled until long after he died. The story of the Jews is oral history
and much of it comes to us as parables and stories of great battles long 
after they purportedly happened.

Islam evolved in an area where nomadic tribesmen wondered as marauders and 
had no national entity, no ruler, but individual warlords - clans and 
families, not particularly organized before Muhammad brought them together 
to attack and conquer polytheistic and other monotheistic communities and 
take their women and their riches.

Muhammad was from Quraish, which also had a large Jewish population, but 
the center of trade and many religions was in Mecca where Muhammad was 
introduced to a real outside world of ideas - of Judaism and Christianity, 
and pagan ideas, which were all to have an influence on his newly 
invented theology.

Mecca was then as now a place of pilgrimage to sacred shrines, one of 
which was the "Black Stone", probably a meteorite and the legend was that 
it was a place of worship given to man by God. Mecca was the center for 
many pagan beliefs, including worship of animals, of fertility gods, of 
stones and just about everything else. The group that Muhammad was 
attracted to were the Hanifs, who rejected pagan customs in favor of ONE 
God. Muhammad, before he founded Islam, was a Hanif a believer in ONE god.

As was the custom Muhammad was also a polygamist and by example it was
approved for Islamic men. Muhammad was also a pedophile and his last wife
was only a child of just 6 years old.

Muhammad, from Quraish, was unschooled (illiterate) - but not ignorant 
enough not to start his own religion in 613 A.D.. He had his epiphamy in a 
cave near Mecca where it is claimed that the voice of the archangel 
Gabriel spoke to him. Gabriel was ALSO the chief god of Quraish and the 
messenger of Allah. The other gods of the community of Quraish were 
Allah's three daughters: al-Lat, al-Uzzah and al-Manat, but Muhammad chose 
only the one, Allah; making Islam a monotheistic religion just as Abraham 
once chose just one god (whose name was unmentionable and unspeakable) 
from many - to be the God of Abraham and his sons, who were to become the 
Hebrews (now called the Jews).
