I've just returned home from a talk by Sr. Clare Nolan on Trafficking in
Women and Children at the SNJM Provincial House, which may not open your
eyes, but which made her listeners think about taking immediate action.

Sr. Clare will be speaking again tomorrow night at 7:30 at the Moot
Courtroom, at Gonzaga Law School, 721 N. Cincinnati St., one block
West of Hamilton, on the same subject, but more in depth than her talk
this afternoon.

If you can possibly make it to tomorrow night's talk, do yourself a favor
and attend. You may even find yourself wanting to get involved in changing
the status quo.

One hint: Sr. Clare said that violence against women is on the rise, and
believes there are two causes: globalization of world trade and patriarchy.
