I just subscribed to CounterPunch

I just subscribed to CounterPunch for the first time.

By running an article by Ralph Nader rebutting the Nation's demand that
he not mount an independent Presidential campaign, CounterPunch has
proved once again that it won't bow to demands by liberals that they
support a "lesser" pro-imperialist, pro-war candidate. 

A vote for Kerry *is* a vote for Bush. It's every bit as much a vote
for the RIAA, the DMCA, the Patriot Act, endless war, blockades against
Cuba, as is a vote for the Shrub.

The only way to really make change is to form our *own* political
movement. Is that Nader? Probably not. But by allowing Nader to speak
against those who would silence him, CounterPunch has shown that
they're open to the possibility.

One need only look at the articles CounterPunch has run to see which
side they're on: "The Cause of Israel is the Cause of America" by
Proletarian Hero John Kerry. "Beloved Haiti" by Stan Goff. "Bush's
Nuclear Hypocrisy" by Robert Jensen. "Turning NYC into a Patriot Act
Free Zone" by Benjamin Shepard. CounterPunch has provided a platform
for such people as Normon Finklestein, Edward Said, Noam Chomsky, and
Stan Goff. There is no doubt about it; they're on *our* side.

Supporting CounterPunch, the left-wing alternative to the Nation, is
very much a worthwhile activity and I have no qualms about shelling out
$40 for the effort. I encourage others to do the same.
