Derrick, don't become one of those dismissive ass-holes who like to tar things
they don't want to debate as "conspiracy  theory". It is a bourgeois denial
device and an ad-hominem attack of the worst sort. Someone who talks of the Gulf
of Tonkin incident, the sinking of the Battleship Maine, the attack on good
Sudeten German citizens by the evil Czech government in 38... all of these
things are "conspracies" too. Every Marxist should henceforth refuse to "demand
people be serious" and REALLY be serious and never EVER use this garbage
terminology. JFK was assassinated, Chavez really didn't order troops to fire on
his supporters, Americans have committed terrorist acts on Cuba- and
conspiracies do exist. Leave to the liberals and the conservatives all their
ballyhoo about "grassy knolls" and the like. Real investigation, like Marx said,
involves ruthless criticism of all that exists- not just what is palatable.

There are people, many many people, who have done work on the Yugoslav question
who support the thesis you appear to ascribe to that have far far shadier pasts
than Jared Israel. Shall a response be to go and get a few reporters names and
see if they ever brazenly lied about Bosnia to help their Nato bosses?

My only point of agreement with your post is in denouncing Aarons anti-comradely
response, especially after John stated that he was opposed to the Kangaroo
court. Nonetheless, the real issue in this thread, as I see it, is in the fact
that we live in North America- the most important place on the planet
politically and the key to a world socialist revolution- and John, Aaron and
maybe now you are willing to take our miniscule, itty bitty movement and split
it further. Aaron wanted to go from the list and with his attitude that's
probably a good idea. Let me ask this: Suppose John moved to Vancouver, should
we not work together on these issues?

In his first post replying to me, John went immediately into calling me
"Stainsby", - using enemy language for a comrade (And make no mistake about it
John, I am a comrade- and spent a couple of hours getting your "Victory to the
Intifada piece put into a bunch of student newspaper inboxes without even
removing your sideswipe at the Bosnian Serbs- and would do it again without
hinderance). No wonder Bush is the President down south and Canada has
absolutely nothing to be proud of, either...

Leave "mongering", "tarring" and anything of this sort to others. You want a
unified, international world? Start with at least an email list and work from
there.
