Even today in 2002 there are people who say the holocaust never happened. They drag out things that tend to support their view point, and crow "I told you so". This changes nothing because it denies reality. How many people have to die before you awake to see this for what it is? Genocide is repulsive to view, but the price of ignoring it is more of the same later. I don't think things are quite so simple. The fact is, before the bodies were discovered, many people, including respected historians such as Michael Parenti, questioned the evidence, and at the time to do so was reasonable, since most of the other "war crimes" committed by Serbs were invented. Now that several thousand bodies have been discovered, one can no longer question that a massacre occurred -- although one can still discuss the sequence of events and question the events surrounding this tragedy. Now, someone who had, for instance, read some of the material been written before the bodies had been discovered, but not looked at more recent evidence, might legitimately ask the question that was asked, and to respond with such abuse ill becomes a Marxist, in my opinion -- especially given the known fabrications of other Serb "atrocities", and the systematic denial of Nato-assisted ethnic cleansing in Krajina, of mass killings of Serbs by Croatian and Muslim paramilitaries, and so on. One must also be aware that, although there is now no doubt that a terrible atrocity was committed by the Bosnian Serb force, there were mass killings around Srebrenica of Serbs by Muslim forces -- not as large, but in the hundreds, and this never gets mentioned. So one must refrain from parrotting the demonization of the Serbs that one finds in the mainstream media. It is also noteworthy that the Dutch report says that there is no evidence to implicate Milosevic in the actions of Mladic's force.
