Re: Fallout from Srebrenica massacre in Netherlands: msg#00137politics.marxism.analysis
-- (please excuse eventual spelling mistakes) -- I admit it is crazy to discus such imbecilism, but I just couldn't keep my mouth shut anymore... ----- Original Message ----- From: "Aaron" <aarons@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <marxist@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, April 19, 2002 12:09 AM Subject: Re: [marxist] Fallout from Srebrenica massacre in Netherlands >>> I find it strange that a 'Marxist' would rely on the fact that allegations of such a massacre are all over the imperialist media. -- Do you consider Interantional Red Cross' reports and Amnesty International's as "imperialist media" lies? >>> Given the fact that NATO's Star Chamber in The Hague has virtually full access to all of the former Yugoslavia since the U.S.-engineered coup of October 2000, they should be able to give the names of most of the victims of the alleged massacre as well as their DNA-identified remains. (Remember that the female relatives, at least, were not killed, so DNA should be available for comparison in most cases.) -- I don't get this now. What is this supposed to prove? >>>The comparison with Jenin is absurd. In the latter case, overwhelming evidence of a massacre is coming through in spite of the fact that the media (controlled by ZIonist Jews and their imperialist allies) is trying to cover it up. In the case of Srebrenica, the same media are pushing the massacre theme but there's still no clear evidence coming through. -- Well, there is a plenty of cases when what you call 'imperialist press' puts up with inforamtion about atrocities like the one in Srebrenica. For example biggest Polish newspaper (Gazeta Wyborcza - http://www.GAZETA.pl), put up twice or thrice with really longish articles about what happened in Jenin. This is of course differerent from what you will find in The Independent or such, but it shows that even 'imperialist press' (if you can use the adjective of 'imperialist' towards Polish press :)) writes about things of that sort. It is of course only becuse thay want to gather more readers and make more money that way, but still. And if it is matter of Srebrenica - please, consider one thing. During the first Yougoslavian war, the climate was entirely different. It was okay to write about it. If Jenin would have happened under such conditions - belive me - al the papers would be full of it. The reason it's not, is not becuse it really happened, but becuse speaking too much about it officially is close to saying that 'Sharon's war on terror is an act of terror' and today the burgoisie press is damn afraid of it. your thery on that is absurdal. Let's take a different example - if the 'imperialist press' (different one this time - http://www.news.bg) writes that there is a serious possbility of first since 1923 general strike in Bulgaria should I automatically doubt it if they inform about it on the very first page? If the 'imperialist press' writes about some massacre it shouldn't be reason to totally deny it, but rather to investigate deeper, because we can be sure they didn't tell us anything. In case of Srebrnica you don't have to look too far. There is small, but qute important difference. -- boian s. -- / RedFront Webmaster / webmaster@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx webmaster@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx nr g-g: 2816444 odigo ID: 7766836 * * * * * * http://www.RedFront.prv.pl http://www.RedFront.zzn.com http://www.marxist.com ------------------------ Yahoo!
