Subject: Splitting the Sky Responds to Council of Canadians Press Release

To the Council of Canadians,

I am also not suprised that the Stoney Reserve took the 300,000 dollars
for so-called security measures instead of hosting the anti-G8
demonstrators with space accomadations. The Chief of Police at the Stoney
Reserve is Philamine Stevens the daughter of the Medicine Man John Stevens
whom I almost had to force to go back into Gustafson Lake to bring
everyone out before the Joint Task Force 2, a special
"anti-terrorist"commando squad stormed the compound and killed everyone
inside. I wrote a 12 page report to parliament hill on this JTF2 and asked
for an endorsement from your organization to demand and immediate inquiry
based on the Chretien's illegal use of this mercenary force (according to
Canadas own constitution) which is currently killing innocent women and
children in Afghanistan by military order and also assigned to attack any
dissent at Kananaskis. No one from your organization has requested our
presence at these anti-G8 demos or agreed to support our call for an
inquiry and subsequent war crimes tribunal. The Stevens family who
financed the original struggle at Gustafson Lake with some of the millions
they got from clearcutting at the Stoney Reserve denied they were apart of
our just struggle for self determination and sovereignty (according to the
rule of law) due to extreme government intimidation. They now bath in the
sea of endless dollars which the federal liberal party seems to pull out
of magic coffers.

The peace and justice movement seems more prepared to shell out funds and
support to anti-war demonstrators that catapult teddy bears against
gunslingers for the WTO than those of us who have been at the other end of
those bullets on more than one historical front.

This is not the first time we have been marginalized in this ongoing
struggle against genocide in our unrelinquished territories and rights. A
matter to which I intend to fully critque in an upcoming article.
