Too bad that Eastern Europeans could not have spoken with working class folks 
like myself from the US.  We could have told them that we don't live like the 
Huxtables, Fraizer Crane, etc.  When a friend was recently fired for being 
diagnosed with arthritis, I reminded him that under capitalism, we are 
garbage to be thrown away when we are no longer profitable.  Too bad we don't 
have TV shows that portray an accurate REAL WORLD.  This would include scenes 
like:  my neighbors and I getting together pennies to send a local child on 
the bus to the dentist, a coworker putting off gall bladder surgery because 
she can't live on the disability benefit we get, a toddler showing up at my 
door asking for a peanut butter sandwich (his mom was out of food stamps), a 
homeless one-legged man crawling over my fence to eat the one peach growing 
on the tree,  children with only t shirts and jeans but no coats in the 
winter,  and my mentally ill friend feeling her teeth rot because we can't 
find a dentist who will take MediCal.  Yes, our streets are not paved with 
gold but often smell of urine because their are no public restrooms for the 
homeless.
