Government and Media Spar in Zimbabwe

JOHANNESBURG, May 31 - Over the past two months, the authorities in Zimbabwe
have arrested 11 journalists, ordered state agencies to stop advertising in
newspapers that criticize the government and canceled the broadcasting license
of the only privately owned television station.
