Hi Dandean,

There is an ongoing effort to define the best way to accomplish this.  
The short answer is that we think it would be great to do something like 
what you suggest, but we don't want to lose the benefits that DocBook 
gives us.
Andries has accomplished automatic conversion of the DocBook manual to 
wiki format (see http://framework.zend.com/wiki/display/ZFDOCDEV/Home) 
but we don't yet have a solution to easily integrate changes made in the 
wiki back to the DocBook sources.  I am sure we'll provide something 
like what you suggest in the future, but right now we don't have that 
solution ready.
There are many great ideas for improving the Zend Framework project, and 
the challenge is to prioritize them and do them in the order that they 
benefit the project the most.
