An End-of-File can be a handy substitute for a ?>. If you have only PHP in a file (e.g. a library of functions or a class file), you can forgo the ?>

Lazy? Sure! Improper? Absolutely. But you can save some real headaches, because no white space will appear at the end of your code, and therefore will never inadvertently cause a "headers already sent" message
