Subject: Re: PHP 5 book recommendation?

One of the things I liked most about Schlossnagle's book is that
he takes a pretty common sense approach to OO in PHP. His code
(speaking of authentication, he features really excellent OO auth script in this
work) is impeccable and he promotes good practice stuff like unit testing. As
someone who was not trained as a programmer, I really enjoyed the fact that much
of what he says speaks to larger issues of coding practice, rather than simply reporting
code recipes (although, these have their place too). Anyway, yeah,
pick Advanced Programming...

hey all,

Just got my first maintenance project on a site
that is written in PHP5, uses quite a bit of OOP,
and teaches woman how to be beautiful.

(Being a programmer is great, because you learn
so much from the many industries you get to
work in. For instance, on this project I'm already
learning what shades of lip liner will make my mouth
look fuller, and give me that sexy, pouty, "come hither"
look.)

*ahem*... anyway, I was wondering if anyone would
like to recommend a good PHP 5 book. If it's any help,
I do have a fairly solid background in C++, but I
would prefer one that while not intended to be a
complete OOP reference, would assume a not too
in-depth knowledge since it has been quite a few
years. (Personal opinions regarding the books are
more than welcome!)

Thanks tons, and remember, when you look marvelous,
you feel marvelous!
