Re: PHP 5 book recommendation?: msg#00003php.tcphp
One of the things I liked most about Schlossnagle's book is that he takes a pretty common sense approach to OO in PHP. His code (speaking of authentication, he features really excellent OO auth script in this work) is impeccable and he promotes good practice stuff like unit testing. As someone who was not trained as a programmer, I really enjoyed the fact that much of what he says speaks to larger issues of coding practice, rather than simply reporting code recipes (although, these have their place too). Anyway, yeah, pick Advanced Programming... Cheers, -Chad Fennell Brock Noland wrote: Advanced PHP Programming by George Schlossnagle |
