Fw: php-syslog-ng errors..

Yes sir. There is no problem upon installation, its just that after the installation & accessed the login and got in to the search tables, I already died..  :(

 

I tried sending somes logs using one of our cisco switches, but nothing.. I already define the syslog servers' IP address into the switch logging command and initiate some logs but nothing..

 

What could it be? Is it the folder where I put it? I put it in the /var/www/html folder (where it is commonly called by the browser) 

 

sigh..

 

I know that you are already bugged with different questions & scenarios every day cause I'm one of those..

I have already installed the Php-Syslog-NG 2.9.2a (r13) Stable & the table already showed. My only problem is that its not working or I think its misconfigu red. I have attached a screenshot of my table &my problem occurs here:

1. When I click the search tab, it should first appear or pop the "search then what type of logs" its missing actually.. this table only appears when I click the "search" tab.
2. When you click the "tail" button, there is a notice on top it says,
a. "Undefined variable: msg1 in /var/www/html/includes/tailresult.php on line 164
Use this link to reference this query directly: QUERY"
b. Notice: Undefined variable: num_results in /var/www/html/includes/html_result_subheader.php on line 13
c. Notice: Undefined offset: 0 in /var/www/html /includes/tailresult.php on line 293
d. the table or the logs are not responding , meaning I dont receive any logs which I tested it by sending some logs thru cisco devices going to the syslog server
d. Search button has also errors, Notice: Undefined variable: result_array in /var/www/html/includes/regularresult.php on line 390
No results found.

I have made some changes usually with the paths (dbgen.pl, syslog2mysql.sh..).

I put the syslog2mysql.sh to /etc/init.d while the syslog-ng.conf in /etc.

I also made the crontab which is attached to the scripts folder.

I put my whole folder of phpsyslog-ng at /var/www/html. I can say that I'm a newbie after all, cause Im still having a problem with the lingo stuff.

I hope you could bare with me & help me out on this. Basically, my purpose is to monitor our cisco devices using the open source program like this one. I'm also looking for some scrip ts for monitoring our devices, if it is not that hassle on your part where could I find one.
