Okay, so no objections here ;-)
Acutally I now have an objection myself.
The thing is that init() may return a PEAR Error object. Therefore it is
cleaner to leave it in a separate method rather than moving it into the
constructor.
Well, didn´t we switch to using a factory method instead of creating
the instance with "new"? If anything goes wrong with the
initialization, the factory method can return a PEAR_Error just as well.
