Liveuser can already be installed with the pear installer. Just do a pear 
install liveuser :))

Because of new version evolutions it is an option to install a pear for each 
virtual server. Otherwise you have to make sure every virtual server can use 
one pear installation. That would be difficult to upgrade pear because of 
potential BC break.
