LZF is a PECL-package now. It moved from pear to pecl.
http://pecl.php.net/package/lzf

Please make sure you're using the latest PEAR-installer (1.3b1), 
since afaik there have been changes which resulted from the pear- / 
pecl-split. If you still get the error please supply some more facts 
on which versions of pear / php / ... you are running.
