Re: CVS access to PEAR: msg#00555

Subject: Re: CVS access to PEAR
Marco,

If you want to install it, type this command in the main folder for Liveuser:

pear package

Then you can just do either:

pear install Liveuser-X.X.X.tgz

or

pear upgrade Liveuser-X.X.X.tgz

(that tgz filename may differ with only a 2 digit version number)

thats it, if you have any problems like it doesn't recognise the package as being newer, just:

pear uninstall liveuser

and then do the pear install as above.

Hope this helps :)

For more info (and better instructions on the packaging), check out http://pear.php.net/manual/en/developers.release.packaging.php

Hi Marco,

you should post your question regarding LiveUser on the official MailingList

Yes, I know. But this is not a LiveUser problem actually. The question
in general is how to handle packages that are downloaded via cvs.
