I mentioned this before but no one responded;
"pear" doesn't run the install rule from phpized packages, so it
misses out on installing vital things (like header files from PDO).
At first glance, adding a "make install" to the batch of commands will
do the job, but I'm not so sure how and where things go from there.
Could someone with more familiarity with it please take a look?
I would really like to get it fixed for the next release in the PHP 5 series.
