new bie help - a bit confused - my first mail

Hi all,

 

I am php/mysql programmer , also I do SEO(search engine optimization), I want to make a commercial application which will involve yahoo , google e.t.c, I want to ask few things

 

1) How can I start programming with Google searches(link backlinks tracking), is Google API a must, can I get an open sourse(scripts) for this???

2) If I query google from my site, auto queries, will my site ip get a ban??

 

How to start and how to go about it, your suggestion will be appreciated and will be followed.
