php/gettext error

Hi all,
 
I've installed gettext successful.
But when I try to install php with gettext, I'm getting the following:
 
checking for GNU gettext support... yes
checking for bindtextdomain in -lintl... no
checking for bindtextdomain in -lc... no
configure: error: Unable to find required gettext library
 
Does any one have an answer to this?
