php.gtk+.documentation

Subject: Re: zh_cn updated

Hi Mike,

In pt_BR we use a system called 'revcheck', which is used in PHP Docs, to track all changes in the english files and know when a file is out of date... Take a look at manual/pt_BR/translation.xml and modify it according to your info, then send it back to the list...

When you translate some file, change the "<!-- $Revision: (version) $ -->" line to <!-- EN-Revision: (version) Maintainer: (the name you put in translation.xml) Status: ready $ -->
(take a look again in some file at the pt_BR tree 8¬D for an example ).

To check the current status of your files, do an "autoconf", "./configure --with-lang=zn_ch", and then "make revcheck". A file called revcheck.html will be generated with all information about.

Good doccing!! ;-)

Cheers,
Diego Feitosa

Thx Anant,

I will try my best of the work. taking more attention to the mistake that
you point.

Here is a question: How should I translat the comments in the code?
There a no language category in php-gtk-doc/examples.
Should I just translate the file in the examples directory?
But I think that will display Chinese in other languages.
That`s really puzzled me.

Oops, I think I should stop post new translations to the mail list a few
days and repair holes that I've done.

what a shame ~_~!

And Thanks for your help again.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for those translations, I just committed them.

Some notes:

- Please always ensure that you UTF-8 encode your files; basically just
stick to the documentation standards:
http://gtk.php.net/manual/en/tutorials.doccing.standards.php

- One of your files was unreadable because of weird line-endings. No,
not even dos2unix/mac2unix could correct it. I believe it was
language-defs.ent. Additionally, when you provide an update to a file
that is already in the repository, use diff to provide a patch instead.

- You must also try and translate the comments in the examples. The
pt_br is high-quality, refer to it when you have some doubt.

- The newly committed zh_cn.xml need some more translations: for
'signals', 'appendix', 'figure', 'glossary' and 'table'.

Everything else looks good (except I can't comment on the translation
itself!).

Keep up the good work, with a little more practice; you'll be ready to
commit directly.

Also, thanks for the patch to the copy_images script, also committed :)

Cheers,

- Anant
