Hi Martin,
I really don't think eAccelerator has anything to do with the script
being executed by the web-server or command-lines.
But I may be mistaking....

Dear List,
I came accross eAccelerator and it looks quit interesting, though I'm
not sure if it fits my requirements:
Is it meant only to use via a web-browser or is it also possible to use
it via command-line or cron-job in the form: usr/bin/php myscript.php ?
Thank you!

zend_mm_heap corruption
Hi list,
please include me in the cc field when replying to this post on the
mailing list.
I have a problem: My Apache crashes on random intervals (usually 10
hours):
zend_mm_heap corrupted
zend_mm_heap corrupted
zend_mm_heap corrupted
[Tue Feb 13 17:28:01 2007] [notice] child pid 14881 exit signal
Segmentation fault (11), possible coredump in /var/apache-dump
Im guessing its related with the zend memory menager, but who knows, im
not really into it so i cant be sure.
PHP version 5.2.1, eaccelerator 0.9.5, Apache 2.0.55, RedHat Enterprise Linux
with
2.6.9-42.0.8.ELsmp on a x86_64 machine with dual core Xeon.
The site is hosting a Drupal installation with about 3000 users at a
time.
After writing to the PHP mailing list and trying the latest PHP snapshot, it
turns out that the problem lies somewhere in eaccelerator.
When i disable the extension i dont experience the crashes.

Using PHP from command line / cron with eAccelerator
Dear List,
I came accross eAccelerator and it looks quit interesting, though I'm
not sure if it fits my requirements:
Is it meant only to use via a web-browser or is it also possible to use
it via command-line or cron-job in the form: usr/bin/php myscript.php ?
Thank you!

Re: Using PHP from command line / cron with eAccelerator
Martin,
eAccelerator can be use on the command line or in a cgi environment or in f-cgi
or isapi/apache. The question is really want you want it to achive. Under
some conditions you may well be able to get a significant speed improvement, in
others you'll see no change.
Can you shed any more light on what you want to do?
Cheers
